I’m always looking for the next best thing for my skin and body. Although I’ve known about and used coconut oil from time to time, lately I’ve been drawn back to it. We just got back from a 10 day vacation of fun in the sun and I noticed that my daughter’s face and neck had become really dry and scaly from all of the sunscreen I put on her. I started thinking about what I could use on her that is natural and I remember the amazing effects of Coconut Oil. Sure enough, after using it for one day her skin looks amazing again! I started researching it a little bit and was amazed at what it does both inside and outside our bodies. I started using it all over my eyes where I tend to have dry skin and within a day, my eyes looked great again. Then I started to cook with it and it may sound weird but I noticed a difference right away in my energy level. Now I use it instead of lotion all over my body and on my face as a moisturizer. Now I can’t wait to try it on my hair to add shine!
Here are just a few of the benefits coconut oil has that I love.
Hair for a conditioning shine
Controls frizz and adds shine
Under eye treatment
Increases energy and burns fat
Boosts the immune system
Positively affects the hormones for thyroid and blood-sugar control
Dry or scaly skin and eczema
Smooth your heels between pedicures

With all of these benefits, it reminds me a little of the dad in My Big Fat Greek Wedding who used Windex for everything. I’m not sure if it works for everything but I’m liking what what I’m seeing so far.
What will you try it for?
