Four Seasons Scottsdale and Talavera Restaurant

Recently Ken and I celebrated our 9 year anniversary. Although we were married over Labor Day weekend, this year we decided to celebrate it the weekend after so that we could avoid the crowds. We have started a tradition of going to Scottsdale to celebrate our anniversary each year. We love it because we can drop Stella off at her Grandparents house to have adventures and play with her cousin and shortly after be on our own romantic getaway. You might think it’s not the best place to go in September because it’s still over 100 degrees and before we started this tradition, we would have agreed with you. What we’ve found is that if you find the perfect resort, you can relax by the pool and not notice how hot it is. In fact, we love the option to never leave the resort. This year, we chose The Four Seasons Scottsdale at Troon North because it was more quaint and luxurious than years past. What we didn’t expect was how we would be WOW’d around every corner. Once we arrived, the valet told us Happy Anniversary and that began our wonderful weekend. Every experience we had was amazing and exceeded our exceptions. (Which if you know me, that’s very hard to do.) We received a room upgrade, chocolate covered strawberries in our room and a private cabana by the pool to relax and enjoy each other. We loved our time here so much that we are going to make it a tradition to celebrate our anniversary at The Four Seasons Scottsdale. The restaurant was even more extraordinary as well, keep reading.

Talavera Restaurant

From the moment you walk in to Talavera Restaurant, you feel at home.  Every person who greets you feels like a long term friend you are just meeting.

We were taken care of every second during our exquisite 4 hour dinner at Talavera.  The meal flew by as we talked about the last nine years of our marriage and how many great adventures we’ve experienced.

With some of the best views in the valley, it was magnificent and created a peaceful feeling so that we could just sit back and revel in the beauty in front of us and on our plates.

Each dish was simply perfect. From the presentation to each delicious bite, it was nothing short of heaven.

The service was exceptional.  From our interactions with our waiter, to the waiter’s assistant, to the General Manager, each person had an impeccable level of service and attention to every detail of our experience being fabulous. We were also visited by their Sommelier, Nick, who truly knows his wine.  He created the perfect wine pairing for us to enjoy with our meal. Talavera’s wine list is incredible. It just won the Best of Award of Excellence again from Wine Spectator!

 

We’ve dined at many amazing restaurants over the years but this one sets itself apart as one of the best and we will not soon forget each moment. The day after our experience, we talked at length about how amazing every aspect of our anniversary dinner was.  Thank you, Four Seasons, for always living up to your reputation and creating world class experiences.
