Does your skin loose it’s luster in the winter months? When I wake up in the winter, it is not uncommon for my face (and everything else) to feel dry. I’ve found some great techniques that help me achieve that post vacation glow year-round. I hope that my tips will help your skin tone look radiant this holiday season!
It all begins with hydrating from the inside out. While it can be challenging to remember to drink a full 8 glasses a day, with the right water bottle you’ll be sipping your way to glowing skin. Here is both a stylish, yet functional water bottle that I love.
S’well ‘Sparkling Champagne’ Stainless Steel Water Bottle, $25.00 – $45.00
One thing I can’t live or sleep without is a humidifier. I know that when I have one running all night long, I wake up feeling great even when I haven’t slept much.
Crane Air ‘Drop’ Humidifier, $49.99 – $54.99
Exfoliation is a trick I love that helps remove dead, dry skin on the surface, revealing a brighter complexion underneath. I recommend using a Clarisonic both morning and evening before bed.
Clarisonic ‘Mia 2 – Fuchsia & Caribbean’ Sonic Skin Cleansing System Duo, $199.00
Next, I recommend to see your esthetician. I go every month and have her derma plane my face followed by a deep peel or a light hydrafacial. This will keep the glow going year round.
Moisturizing on the outside is just as imperative as getting your water fill each day. For the daytime, I’m loving M.A.C.’s Strobe Cream. This amazing product contains mineral pigments to optically “brighten” skin, which makes skin look radiant rather than dull. In the evening, after exfoliating with my Clarisonic, I am sure to apply a moisturizer on my entire face and decollate. Your skin looses most of its moisture while you sleep and properly prepping for beauty rest helps me wake-up with a glow.
I’d love to hear how you get your glow on? Let me know in the comments, and check out my related post on Dry Skin and Lip Fixes.
Can you recommend an esthetician? Thanks.
