Gorgeous hair

Isn’t gorgeous hair something we all strive for? I know I’m obsessed with it. Whether it’s the color, cut or blowout, I want gorgeous hair. Over the years I feel like I’ve gotten pretty good at giving myself a blowout at home. Not as good as my hairdresser, but pretty good. I study her technique, buy the products she recommends and sometimes I’ll even take a video of her blowdrying it so that I can do the same thing later at home. (By the way, it would be nice if I could reach the back of my head as well as she can but we won’t deal with that here.) Recently she gave me a new tip that has given me gorgeous hair and lasting results.

I’ll start with my problem. I can never get my hair as straight as she gets it. I’ve tried different things…round brush, boar bristle brush, products, even a flat iron (which didn’t look good). As much as I work at it, it’s never quite straight and my ends look a little frizzy and damaged. After seeing her a couple of weeks ago and talking to her about my issue, she recommended using an ionic blowdryer that was 2000 watts or higher. Really? It could be my blowdryer? I thought I had a nice one. I had to try it immediately. I looked around online and settled on one from Amazon that has amazing reviews.

Allure 2200w Professional Ionic Ceramic Hair Dryer

It had 673 reviews and 4.5 stars and was discounted from $89 to $34. On the Xtava website it sells for $110. To tell you the truth, I thought it was too good to be true but I thought I would try it and I could always return it if it didn’t work well.

I received the blowdryer on Friday last week just in time for hair washing day (I usually only wash my hair 2 times a week). On Saturday I tried it for the first time, not changing anything else in my routine and WOW, I’m amazed. This has a ton of power. Usually it takes me 20 minutes to dry my hair and now it takes 10 and my hair is perfectly straight with no frizzy ends. I couldn’t believe that the solution to my problem was this easy. It gave me gorgeous hair and the best at home blowout ever. What’s even better is that on day 2, I didn’t have to do anything other than comb my hair and go and it was still fabulous.

What are your hair issues?

  1. thanks, Keri! I’ve spent a fortune on fancy blow dryers. Will try this one. Gotta love our dry Colorado air for getting our hair just right 🙂
