Happy New Year – Dream BIG

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year

We are officially in January and ready to start the new year off right.  I love the freshness of a new year, new goals, new challenges and starting with a new perspective while holding onto all of the knowledge of past years and experiences.

This January, I’m starting the year with gratitude. How lucky am I that I have a business I love and uplifts people, a great family to have fun and grow with, a cool blog to give away all of my advice and expertise from 16 years of being in the fashion industry and so much more? Everyday I’m truly grateful.

Happy New Year

Lately, I’ve been excited to hear what everyone is committing to this year and recently read a post that said “this is the year that I’m perfect just the way I am”. I love this and think it’s such a powerful statement that I am personally committing myself to. Each year we pick ourselves apart and work hard to change the things we don’t like about ourselves. Our bodies are usually first, then money, relationships and any other area we wish were different. I’m so enlivened to take a new perspective. This year I’m starting from the place that I’m perfect already. What an exciting year this will be in every endeavor.

I spent some time with my husband in Sedona after the holidays completing what happened in 2015 and starting to create our 2016 goals. I love Sedona because it’s so magical and serene. One thing we both realized was true (and you may have heard someone say this before) is that we’ve achieved every goal we’ve ever set, just not on our schedule. This is a very exciting realization because it gives me the freedom to dream bigger than before. What if I keep creating bigger goals and only achieve a fraction of them this year but next year I attain them? I’d still be happy!

What will you dream for this year? I’d love to hear in the comments section!
