How to do Resort Wear

It’s officially that time of year when we take a quick breather from our hectic schedules and go on a trip for spring break. Whether it’s a quick weekend stay in Mexico, the Keys or a week long vacation across the ocean to Greece, you want to feel and look your best. People always ask me how to do resort wear this time of year and for the past several weeks, I’ve been dressing many clients for their getaway adventures. Now it’s time for me to share some of my favorites with you to save you time and ensure you’ll look your best. Keep in mind that when you go on a trip, a good place to start with is organizing your outfits according to the day’s events. For instance, your airport look, daytime outfit for shopping or going to brunch and your evening attire.

Airport

There is a misconception that comfort and style can never mix. I’m here to tell you that it’s not only possible but the only way I roll! Looking stylish at the airport without having to sacrifice the need for comfort on a plane is something that anyone can achieve, as long as they are strategic about it. Here’s a few pieces that you can wear on the plane and when you are there. I’ve also done a more detailed blog post on my own travel outfit along with things to include in your tote, so make sure to check that out after!

Day

Exploring the city or having brunch with your vacation crew is another perfect time to execute the stylish, but comfortable look. Whether you will be on your feet all day or lounging by the pool, you don’t have to give up looking cute. After all, this might be the prime time for photo ops around the city or the beach. Here’s a few of my favorites:

Evening

Some of the most memorable moments are the nighttime activities on a vacation. That can include a romantic dinner with your husband, a night out in town dancing with your girlfriends or an exciting show with your family. For these moments, I recommend a dress. They are easy, look gorgeous and make you feel great. Plus, the wonderful thing about dresses is that you can add a little bit of jewelry to completely elevate the look from great to amazing! Here are a few I’m loving right now:
