Spring is here and it’s time to clean out and switch your wardrobe for the season. How do you change your closet? First, I recommend that if you haven’t already, clean everything in your fall/winter wardrobe. This way when you switch it back in September, it’s all fresh and clean and ready to be worn. I also recommend putting your shoes and boots in bags so they don’t get dusty over the next 6 months.
Next, when you are putting all of your spring/summer clothes in your closet, try everything on. Make sure that it still fits great, looks amazing, and you feel good in it. Then, make a list of some must-have items that you need this spring. Maybe it’s a new trend that you love or maybe you just need to freshen up your tops or get some new dresses that make you feel really great.
I recommend that when you are switching out your fall/winter for your spring/summer wardrobe, don’t put everything away from your winter wardrobe. Just because it was 80° this weekend doesn’t mean it will be tomorrow and we could still get more snow. Hang onto a few of your favorite winter pieces to throw on when it gets cold again.

Whether it’s you or your kids, there is a lot to be said for buying a few items for your wardrobe every couple of months. There is nothing better than finding that new piece of clothing that makes you feel more confident and beautiful. Therefore, my advice is spread it out. Don’t go on one big shopping spree (unless you lost a lot of weight or are overhauling your image). Instead, find a few amazing pieces now and a few more fabulous pieces in a month or so. This way, you always have new and fresh go to items to help you feel amazing that you can pair up with your wardrobe staples.
