If you are in the mood to get away, I’ve found a fantastic new destination for you. The Westin Beaver Creek. As we pulled up to the resort we were WOW’D. This resort is absolutely gorgeous and luxurious. We originally came to the Westin for a business retreat for my husband and came up a day early to experience all it had to offer. My favorite being the Spa Anjali which was voted in the top 25 spas in the World by Conde’ Nast. I quickly found out why. They have such unique treatments that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. I chose their Himalayan Spa Journey and had a treatment called Ajna – Peace of Mind Blessing. Here is what I experienced, this treatment is devoted to opening the third eye chakra which is responsible for spiritual insight, intuition, imagination and peace of mind and simply put, put me in a zen state. I’ve never known relaxation like that before. It started with a foot bath and scrub and then I relaxed in a jetted tub in my private treatment room. I was so relaxed by the end of this and it was only just the beginning. I then got a massage with hot oil on my back and turned over to receive an amazing facial massage with hot oil poured on my third eye (think high forehead) and it dripped down my scalp relaxing me to a point of no return. After this amazing treatment I was given some sorbet to enjoy in the relaxation room. If I haven’t said yet, it was amazing! I truly have experienced spas and resorts all across the world and this was a new delightful experience I hope to repeat soon!
Another one of my favorite things about this resort is that it is right on the river. Every morning, Stella and I enjoyed long walks by the river and watched people fish and ride bikes. There is even a great place to walk on rocks and get your feet wet.
Last but not least, we loved the pool. Each day we made our way out to frolic in the pool and Stella was overjoyed to float independently on her noodle. It truly was a treat and I hope to come back soon.
