Winter Blues

It’s that time of year when everyone really wants Spring to arrive so that they can freshen up their wardrobe, get outside and feel great again.  Are you experiencing the winter blues?  With all of the snow and frigid temperatures across the nation, one thing is for sure.  We want SPRING!  Unfortunately if we ask Punxsutawney Phil, the famous weather predicting groundhog, we are in for 6 more weeks of winter.  So, how do we survive it and get a jump start on Spring?   The best way to beat it is to leave town, go on a great beach vacation and slather on some sun tan lotion.  However, if that’s not in the plans for you, here are a few of my favorite tips for getting out of those winter blues.  First, buy something new that you love.  It could be a new top, a fabulous pair of jeans, or a new statement necklace that you feel amazing in.  You’ll instantly get happier just wearing that new piece.  You could also take a peek in your closet and see how you could wear your clothes in a different way so they feel new again.  Wear that little black dress with a blazer over it to the office, tuck a shirt into your pencil skirt and belt it.  Whatever you decide, get out of your box and look at your wardrobe in a new way.

Hair – deep condition it or put a gloss treatment on it so it looks fresh

Makeup – go out a buy a new amazing lip shade to spice up your look.

Skin – Exfoliate or if you can, go get that peel you’ve been wanting.  This will even out your skin tone and soften your skin.

As cold as it is in some places, try to get outside and get some Vitamin D.
